Portrait of the family of Henry VIII - Mary Tudor, Edward VI, Henry VIII, Jane Seymour (mother to Edward VI), and Elizabeth I.
The above family tree document (click on image for original website location) is truly the Tudor Family Tree, not just that of Elizabeth. King Henry VII was the first of the Tudor dynasty, which he founded by defeating King Richard III at the battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. This dynasty spanned 130 years and produced only five British rulers.
The tree also includes rulers of Scotland; Henry VIII's sister, Margaret, was married to James IV, the reigning King of Scotland. Through her line came King James V, Mary Queen of Scots, and King James VI, who would go on to become the first Stuart king of England, James I. James I succeeded Elizabeth as she had no children to take over the throne.
